Friends of the Earth Scotland demonstrators protested and lobbied outside The Royal Bank of Scotland AGM, held at Gogarburn, the bank’s global headquarters earlier today.

According to FOE, RBS is funding the wholesale destruction of the Appalachian mountains in the USA and elsewhere by ‘blowing away’ mountain tops to mine coal deposits. Mountain top removal (MTR) wrecks the environment, impacts on health and contributes to climate change.

Pictured are Friends of the Earth activists, including (front) Paul Daly and Mary Church – posing as 2 ‘bankers’ stuffing their faces with coal to feed their fossil fuel addiction.
