Pedal on Parliament 2 – Sunday 19 May 2013

This Sunday there will be a flash cycle starting from The Meadows and progressing to Holyrood. Last year the same cycle protest attracted more than 3000 people of all ages on bikes. This year the organisers clearly hope that it will be even bigger and better.

The Edinburgh Reporter met Kim Harding who is one of the organisers of Pedal on Parliament (and Director of Festival of Cycling…but that is another story!) to find out what those taking part should expect and also what the organisers’ hopes are for assistance from The Scottish Government. If you want to take part you can either bring a bike, or the organisers are also encouraging people to walk the  2 mile route. More details on the Pedal on Parliament website.

This is the eight point manifesto which the group have produced:-
