Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault that took place during the early hours of yesterday morning.
The assault took place on the roadside by the A70 near to the Kirknewton junction. The female victim was later found walking in the Balerno area.
Detective Inspector Jim Morrison, who is in charge of the investigation, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who saw a distressed woman in the area between 11.45pm and 12.30am to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“Alternatively, they can supply information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
