Police in Edinburgh investigating an incident of racial abuse in the west of the city have today issued an image of two men they wish to trace in connection with their enquiries.

A 40-year-old Nigerian man was walking in Dalry Road with a female friend at around 4.15pm on Friday 7th February when he was followed and subjected to racial abuse.

Officers are keen to speak with the two men in this picture in relation to the investigation.

Anyone who can assist in identifying them is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 immediately.

Constable Conor Stapleton said: ā€œI would ask members of the public to come forward if they recognise these men so we can trace them and progress our enquiries.

ā€œIn addition anyone with any further information they believe relevant to this investigation is also asked to get in touch.ā€
