”Quite a few of years ago I started writing a collection of songs that my friends and I then decided to record entirely outdoors. From one (generally cold and wet) location to the next and across several countries we found ourselves dragging drum kits and pianos, trombones and accordions. This all took a while,” said Dan Lyth.

Dan Lyth is a creative singer/songwriter who will be playing at ”Connected” Fringe venue 270 along with a host of Scottish talent.
Venue manager Clive Parnell, said: “We realise we are on the fringe of the fringe being in Kirkliston, which is not far from Edinburgh Airport and the historic forth rail bridge in South Queensferry. We are a locally run venue and are pleased to host some of the most creative musicians in Scotland today.”
In fact the venue is not shy of critically acclaimed artists. Yvonne Lyon recently had album of the week on BBC Radio Scotland and supported Eddie Reader on a UK tour. Dan Lyth has received rave reviews for his album ”Benthic lines”

Clive himself has a band that includes Graeme Duffin (Wet, Wet, Wet) and Yvonne Lyon and whose sound is a mix of soul/Gospel music.

”We recognise there is an appetite for the fringe on the fringes of Edinburgh, our first show ”Fischy music” was a kids show and it sold out.” If you fancy a trip to the fringe of Edinburgh pop out.

August 22nd Classical music night

August 23rd Dan Lyth and the Euphrates (support from Ben Sunderland – Chasing owls)
