UPDATE – Man now traced safe and well
Police Scotland are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a 69 year old man who has been reported missing from the Portobello area of Edinburgh.
Phillip Whyte, who suffers from Alzheimers, was last seen near in the Joppa/ Coillesdene area on Tuesday 19th August around 10.30am.
Phillip is described as being white, 5ft 8 inches tall, medium build, short black greying hair and was last seen wearing light beige jacket with corduroy on collar and cuffs, light beige trousers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are worried about Phillip as he is a vulnerable man who has been missing from his home since this morning. Anyone who believes they have seen Phillip is urged to contact police immediately.”
