Braemore launches estate agency division

And broadens its presence in the growing buy-to-let market

Signalling its intent to continue to grow and develop the business five months after re-branding its letting agency, Braemore has introduced an estate agency division, taking the total number of people employed by the Edinburgh-based company to 91.

The estate agency team, managed by Head of Sales Graham White, will operate from Braemore’s Morningside branch.

Marketing private seller’s properties, the team will also work in close partnership with the firm’s letting arm to provide a one stop shop for landlords looking to grow and manage their portfolios.

In addition, clients will also have the opportunity to seek advice from Braemore’s in-house mortgage and insurance experts.

Graham White, who has over a decade’s worth of property experience having joined from GSB Properties in East Lothian, said:

“This is an exciting time for Braemore as we continue to expand and evolve. The property market is once again very dynamic and the Morningside branch is ideally placed for marketing properties in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Setting up the estate agency responds to the demand from our current letting clients, some who see this as a good time to sell and others who want to invest in the growing private rented sector.”

He added:

“Buy-to-let lending is continuing to recover strongly and we believe our expertise in the lettings market gives our clients who might be looking at the private rented sector a clear advantage. Getting the right rental property is vitally important.”

Braemore launch new digital letting service.

Lenders advanced 40,000 mortgages, worth £5.1 billion, to buy-to-let investors in the second quarter of 2013, according to the Council of Mortgage Lenders. Both the number of buy-to-let loans, and the value of lending are at the highest level since the third quarter of 2008.

Malcolm Cannon, Chief Executive of Braemore, said:

“Having re-branded the letting agency five months ago, incorporating an estate agency division is a natural progression for us. We have in place an experienced team of property professionals, providing an all in one service for our clients to grow and manage their property investments seamlessly.”
