Police are appealing for witnesses following a housebreaking at Restalrig Terrace last night.

The incident occurred between 7.30pm and 10.30pm.  Police believe a number of items were taken from the property and removed in two black holdalls, which were also taken from the property. 

Police are appealing to the public for information and are particularly keen to trace anyone who was seen carrying two black holdalls last night in the Restalrig area of the city.No descriptions of witnesses or suspects are available at this time. 

Detective Constable Ryan Lee said:  “This was a calculated crime, which has left the property owners very shaken.

“We are eager to speak to any members of the public who may have seen someone in or around Restalrig Terrace at the time of the incident – particularly if they were seen to be carrying two black holdalls.

“Anyone with information should immediately contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
