Take a look at this stunning new 2 minute film of Queen Margaret University from the air.

QMU’s award winning filmmaker Walid Salhab, worked with Michael Grant to create a new video of the Musselburgh campus.

The footage was captured with a drone (DJI inspire 1) which can reach heights of 1000metres and can travel at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.

The film shows the main academic building, student village, students union and sports buildings and the university’s landscaped grounds (which include a Sustainable Urban Drainage System – SUDS pond). The footage also shows the University’s proximity to the local town of Musselburgh, the train station and the beautiful East Lothian coast.

Walid and Michael have produced a series of ‘kinetic’ (stop-motion/time lapse) films which capture the magic of Scotland’s capital city and the stunning beaches of the east coast of Scotland. Kinetic Edinburgh II has been shared globally and has over 3.2 million views on social media.

Walid Salhab was the only filmmaker to have access to the complete build of the Kelpies in Falkirk. His stop-motion/time-lapse film has helped put Falkirk on the global tourist map.
