2011_09_27 The Edinburgh Reporter Victoria StreetThis event takes place on June 1, at Quaker Meeting House, 7 Victoria Terrace, 6-8pm. Edinburgh is a great city to walk in but motor traffic continues to dominate the city’s streets and pedestrians have languished at the bottom of transport priorities for far too long.

Living Streets Edinburgh Group, with your input, can make the case for the enormous economic, environmental and social benefits of prioritising pedestrian movemnet within a high quality public realm.

You can shape this campaign. We’re keen to hear about what you think about walking in Edinburgh generally and in your own locality.

Speakers are David Spaven, convenor of the Living Streets Edinburgh Group, Marion Williams, Director of the Cockburn Association and Stuart Hay, Head of Living Streets Scotland.
