Friends of the Earth will be taking part in a climate rally at the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 27th May from 12-pm. This will feature the handover to political leaders of thousands of messages asking for more urgent action on climate change. Click here to Find out more about this event

Friends of the Earth say: “The United Nations talks in Paris this December will be a vital stage on the path towards climate justice. We need to put maximum pressure on politicians now to ensure that they push for a deal which is line with what climate science demands and that equitably shares the responsibility for action.

“You can still contact the First Minister to ask her to ensure Scotland meets it commitments at home and plays a positive role abroad. Email Nicola Sturgeon now

“As part of our big year of climate activism you can join us for a special event in Edinburgh on Saturday May 16th as we hear stories of how vulnerable people on the frontline of climate change are already being impacted.  We will also speak with those leading the fightback against fossil fuel companies in Nigeria and India. Godwin Ojo of FoE Nigeria will talk about their long running campaign against Shell and Shweta Narayan will also speak via Skype about coal campaigning in India.
Places are limited so please reserve yours now.
