Edinburgh

The Planetary Healing Centre has received £4,752 to support people who are vulnerable in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.

The centre supports people on low incomes or those who are financially unstable suffering from health, mental health and wellbeing issues. The grant will fund an administrator to run the Centre’s Holistic Health Project and the Nature Connection Project for families. Both projects allow participants to get more involved in the outdoors and in their communities whilst improving their health and quality of life.

Claudia Goncalves, co-founder and trustee volunteer at The Planetary Healing Centre said: “We are delighted with the support received from the Santander Foundation. It is wonderful to see that there are more people out there who, like us, want to see people get well and stay well.”

Melissa Hand, Branch Manager at Santander’s Edinburgh branch said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting The Planetary Healing Centre, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”
