The Hibs’  first team squad have returned  to La Manga for a pre-season training camp this week  as the preparation for the new season continues.

The club used the training complex in the build-up to last season’s play-offs and will return for an intensive week of preparation work.

Head Coach Alan Stubbs told the club website: “Everything about our previous visit to La Manga was absolutely first class – the training facilities, food and weather.

“So we’re very privileged to be able to go back as we prepare for the upcoming season. The majority of the squad have already experienced what La Manga has to offer – it’s the perfect environment for the next phase of our pre-season work.”

New signing Martin Boyle will miss the trip as he recovers from injury.

The club are scheduled to meet Wigan Athletic, who are also training at La Manga, in a behind closed doors practice match on Saturday, 11 July.
