On Thursday morning at Tesco’s Broughton Road store, MSP Sarah Boyack took part in a trolley dash round the aisles. This was a treasure hunt organised by June the Community Manager, but was also part of a nationwide challenge across all UK Tesco stores.

The idea was that local teams raced agains the clock to find items to put in a trolley which will then go to the local food banks run by The Trussell Trust and FareShare.

It was a lot of fun! Sarah Boyack said: “I was very happy to be asked to help out with the trolley dash.  Although it was a bit of fun it has a serious side to it, as there is a growing need for food banks in Edinburgh and the Lothians.”
