2011_10 Police signs 11

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in the Haymarket area of the city which happened around 4am yesterday morning in Caledonian Crescent.

Two men, in their early twenties, were approached by two unknown men who threatened them and then stole their mobile phones.

The suspects were last seen running westwards on Caledonian Crescent, past Caledonian Place.

The first suspect is described as white, around 6ft 2inches tall, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black-hooded jumper with the hood up tied around his face, and light grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect is described as white, around 6ft 2inches tall, with a skinny build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, and black jogging trousers.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Robbie Wallace of Corstorphine CID said: “The victims were understandably shaken by this incident and we’re urging any further witnesses, or anyone who has information which can help with our enquiries, to come forward.”
