Craft Scotland presents the work of 35 inspiring makers in the centre of Edinburgh

The Craft Scotland Summer Show returns from 7 – 30 August, featuring the high quality work of 35 makers living and working in Scotland. It will showcase a diverse range of craft including fantastic homewares, jewellery in a variety of materials, beautiful textiles, ceramics and furniture. The Show takes place on the 2nd floor of White Stuff, George Street, Edinburgh and is part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (venue 205).

Work on display at the selling exhibition includes Grainne Morton’s jewellery which evokes a sense of nostalgia, vibrant screen-printed textiles by Laura Spring and monochrome ceramics by Myer Halliday. As well as welcoming back audience favourites from previous years, Craft Scotland is delighted to present the work of 27 makers who will be first-timers at the show.

Fiona Logue, Director of Craft Scotland explains more:

“Last year’s show attracted 5000 visitors from across Scotland as well as overseas. We were delighted to be able to welcome so many visitors to view a vast array of work, meet makers and buy Scottish craft. We are thrilled to be bringing the show back to Edinburgh’s vibrant George Street again this year. By displaying a wide variety of makers and their disciplines, we can show off the breadth of our vibrant craft scene in Scotland.”

The Summer Show opens on Friday 7 August, information can be found on the website http://www.craftscotland.org/summershow
