Students bring all the fun of the Christmas fair to Edinburgh College

Edinburgh College students hope to spread festive cheer by organising Christmas fairs at the college’s Sighthill and Granton campuses, and invite local craftspeople, staff and students to take a stall.

A group of Retail Management students are organising a Christmas fair and fashion show at Sighthill on Tuesday 1 December from 10am-3.30pm. This valuable experience in organising an event is part of the student’s course work. The public can hire a stall for £15 and students who wish to have a stall can make a donation to the British Heart Foundation.

All funds collected from stall hire at the Sighthill fair will go towards fundraising for the Events and Retail Management students’ end of year summer ball. All funds raised through a raffle and auction on the day will go to the British Heart Foundation. If you would like a stall, please contact the student project manager Gavin Reekie at gavin.reekie123@gmail.com.

The Granton group, A Team events, are from Access courses and are arranging a fair in the Graton Campus Hub on Wednesday 9 December. The fair will run from 10am to 2pm and the students have attracted a variety of stallholders. All funds raised on the day will be donated to the charity Crisis. If you would like to take a stall, please contact the student team on ateamevents@hotmail.com.
