COM_974-Neutering-web-banner_vr2-newThe  UK’s leading feline welfare charity, Cats Protection,  is planning to launch their  £5 Neutering Campaign in all EH postcodes in Spring 2016.

The campaign aims to encourage all cat owners to come forward and get their cats neutered by raising awareness in local communities of the importance of neutering as part of responsible pet ownership.

A spokesman for the charity said: “We will be providing subsidised neutering vouchers for those who meet the following eligibility criteria: those on a low income and those in receipt of benefits.

“The cat owners would pay £5 towards the cost of neutering which saves a lot of money as a female can cost between £80-£120 and  a male between £60-£80.

“We are very keen to engage with local communities, whether this is coming along and giving some informal talks/sessions with adults or children, setting up an information/advice stall  somewhere in the community, handing out  leaflets/posters at community events and would love to hear from any community groups who can help.”
