Portobello Loony Douk

School children from across Edinburgh will feature in Edinburgh’s Christmas Song Book for a three hour festive sing-along on STV Edinburgh on Christmas Day. The festive celebration will start at 9am (repeated at 1pm and 6pm) on STV Edinburgh, with talented youngsters from over 15 Edinburgh schools performing traditional carols and Christmas tunes that will have you rocking around the Christmas tree.

Would you like to find a church service where you can go to sing carols today? Rosemary Kaye has compiled a list for you! Read more here.

So what’s open and what’s closed today?

Most of the big hotels are open and their bars are too. If you want food you may have had to book ahead but it could be worth a call.

  • Services 1, 19 and 104 running on Boxing Day, so it will be easier than ever before to get into town for the sales!
