Jye Slater

Police are appealing for information to help trace a missing teenage boy.

Jye Slater was last seen in the Moredun area of the city at around 3.50pm on Wednesday 6th January but has since failed to return home.

Inquiries are continuing to trace the 14-year-old and anyone who knows Jye’s current whereabouts is asked to come forward.

He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall with a slim build, short dark hair and was wearing navy Adidas cotton jogging bottoms, a navy Adidas hooded top and navy Nike Air Max trainers.

Inspector Norman Towler from Craigmillar Police Station said: “Jye knows the Edinburgh area well and is known to frequent the Drylaw, Muirhouse and Pilton areas.

“We are keen to find him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe.

“Anyone who believes they have seen him since Wednesday afternoon, or knows where we can find him should contact police immediately.”
