Police have confirmed the identity of a man who died on Saturday 9 January following a collision between a pedestrian and a red Suzuki Swift on Drum Brae Drive, Corstorphine.
He was 62-year-old Dennis Gay.
Dennis’ family have issued the following statement: “Dennis was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandad and brother who touched the hearts of all who knew him.
“He was the life and soul of the party who will be sorely missed.”
John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter.
