Alan Stubbs

While the Hibs’ fans are looking forward to the League Cup Final and the Scottish Cup replay against Hearts next week, Alan Stubbs insists that the Ladbrokes Championship is his side’s main priority as they prepare to face Livingston on Saturday evening.

Hibs have picked up three victories at the Tony Macaroni Arena in the last two seasons, and he is intent on making it four from four in West Lothian.

The game will be shown live on BBC Alba on Saturday night.

The Hibs’ Head Coach also provided an update on the club’s injury list.

Speaking to Hibs TV yesterday, , Stubbs said: “Our focus has turned quickly to our main priority, which is the league format and  that is the most important game. Our priority all season has been the league.

“We go to Livingston on Saturday for another game on the TV, and it’s one where we will be looking to pick up three points. We’ve had a couple of decent results there over the years, and on Saturday we will be looking to do the same.

“It will be a difficult one and  we need to be as good as what we have been recently to get a result there.

“Livingston’s performances have been better than the points they have taken up till now and it’s the same when you are down there and picking up points becomes a big worry.

“We will see how everyone is feeling and then we will put in the strongest side possible to get us a result in that game.

“The most important thing is that David (Gray) is back in the squad and trained today, Dylan (McGeouch) will be training tomorrow so the squad we take to face Livingston will be the squad we took last weekend to face Hearts so from that point of view I’m happy.

“Fraser (Fyvie) has a grade ligament injury so we are looking at three possibly four weeks out  and if everything goes to plan he will be ready just before the League Cup.
