2011_10 Police signs 11

Two men have been charged with attempted murder following an attack in Armadale which took place in a house on West Main Street at around 8:40pm on Tuesday, February 2.

The two male victims required hospital treatment after they were allegedly set upon by a group of males. They have since been discharged.

Police issued a public appeal for information following the attack and subsequently arrested a 27 and 18 year old male as part of their investigation.

They are due to appear before Livingston Sheriff Court today (Monday, February 8).

Detective Inspector Keith MacKay of Livingston CID said: “Thanks to the assistance of the public, local officers swiftly arrested two men in connection with an incident on West Main Street on February 2.

“Our inquiries into this matter are ongoing as we look to trace all those involved. I would like to take this opportunity to ask anyone who has information to contact police immediately on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
