The serviced apartments at Old Town Chambers was named Serviced Apartments of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards.

The ceremony was held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel  on Sunday night.

In its judging, the Scottish Hotel Awards noted that: “These apartments offer a quintessential, authentic experience of staying within the World Heritage Site of the Old Town, combined with the luxurious comforts of a 21st century lifestyle. A truly unique place to stay.”

Gavin MacLennan, general manager at Old Town Chambers, said: “We’re very proud to have retained our title as Scotland’s best service apartment provider at the Scottish Hotel Awards. Our offering is still relatively new to the market, so to achieve this level of recognition amongst our peers is a great endorsement of our product.

“Recent figures have shown that our sector is expected to expand faster than any other segment of the UK hospitality market over the next two years, with more providers entering the market.  However, we relish the challenge this provides us with and look forward to battling out to retain our title again next year.”
