The Edinburgh Reporter sends our condolences to the family and friends of Martin Glancy who sadly passed away yesterday.

The 33-year-old was a well known and popular figure in the Hibs’ press room where he worked as a commentator for Hibs’ TV.

His body was found outside a block of flats in Forrester Park Drive just after 1am yesterday morning following a report from a member of the public.

Police cordoned off the area but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Dozens of tributes have already appeared on social media.

The club issued the following statement:”Hibernian FC are saddened to learn of the death of supporter and Hibs TV commentator Martin Glancy.

Martin was a valued member of the Hibernian Media team for a number of years, whose passion for the Club was clear to anyone who knew him or enjoyed his commentaries.
