A 38 year-old man who was walking his dog in St Mark’s Park on Friday night was approached, threatened and then robbed of a three figure sum of cash. The incident happened about 7.30pm on Friday 6 May 2016 in the tunnel on a walkway through the park.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 10inches tall, 19-20 years old with acne on his face and a local accent.

He was wearing matching cream joggers and top,Ā and a red baseball cap.

He was in the company of two other men, also described as being 19-20 years old.

Detective Sergeant Keith Fairbairn of Gayfield CID said: ā€œThis was very distressing for the victim and weā€™re utilising various resources in an effort to trace the perpetrator.

ā€œWeā€™re appealing for the publics help and would ask anyone who recognises these descriptions, or saw the men described in the area at this time, to come forward.ā€
