Volunteers
The Scottish SPCA is looking for volunteers in the Lothians to help by taking part in a supermarket bag packing event this summer.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity is encouraging locals to get involved either at Tesco in Colinton on Saturday 18th June or Tesco in Penicuik on Saturday 25th June.
Diane Aitchison, manager of the charity’s rescue centre in Balerno, said, “We are looking for kind volunteers who can spare some time between 11am and 3pm on either day.
“Even if someone can only go along for an hour that would still be hugely appreciated.
“Bag packs are a fantastic and fun way to raise vital funds and meet others from the local community.
“We’ll provide everything needed to take part on the day and we would be delighted to hear from those wishing to help out.
“Anyone interested can contact us by emailing fundraising@scottishspca.org or calling 03000 999 999 (option 4).
“We also have many other fundraising events in the area throughout the year and we are always looking for kind volunteers to take part. More information about up-coming events can be found on our website
www.scottishspca.org.”
