Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a car from a dealership in Pumpherston.

The incident happened at 8 p.m. on Thursday 2nd June 2016 at the Braidwood Motor Company in Drumshoreland Road.

A male attended at the premises in possession of the true key, which is believed to have been stolen earlier that day, and drove the black Audi A5 Sport Coupe away from the forecourt.

Inquiries are ongoing to trace the suspect and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

In addition, anyone who has seen the vehicle with registration number VO59LGV should also get in touch.

Constable Julias Nyamakanga from Lvingston Police Station said: “This brazen theft has resulted in a high-value car being stolen from the lot of the dealership and we are eager to hear from anyone who can assist us in locating it.

“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the area of Drumshoreland Road and Drumshoreland Avenue, on the evening of Thursday 2nd June is asked to contact police immediately.”
