Ladbrokes have suspended betting on Neil Lennon becoming the next Hibs manager after a flurry of bets.

The SPFL sponsors made the decision when the ex-Celtic boss was backed into 1/4 from 14/1 after sustained support throughout the day.

Lennon had earlier moved to odds-on favourite for the Hibs job with McBookie and SkyBet.

David Macdonald of Ladbrokes said: “The early money had been for John Hughes but in next to no time there’s been a flurry of support for Neil Lennon.

“He’s been supported at all prices down from 14/1 so we’ve decided to take a breather and wait for this one to settle down.”
