Police have confirmed the identity of a woman who died during a road collision on the A68 as  Rodica Pamphilon from Ormiston, East Lothian.

The 46-year-old was travelling south in her Ford Fiesta on Friday 5th August when it was involved in a collision near the Cousland Junction with Land Rover Discovery Sport, which was travelling north.

In a statement issued through Police Scotland, Ms Pamphilon’s family said: “Rodica was a loving and gentle woman who was loved by so many. We are devastated by her loss in such a tragic way. She will be so dearly missed.”

Inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this collision are ongoing and anyone with information that can assist Road Policing Officers with their investigation is asked to come forward
