The appointment of two of Edinburgh’s most ambitious and successful characters in the city’s food and drink industry will collectively bring 30 years of knowledge and experience with their arrival at the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen on George Street.

Mike Lewis and Andrew Lennie have been welcomed into the fold with Mike taking on the role as General Manager and Andrew coming on board as Assistant General Manager. They are hoping to make their mark in the landmark venue, which opened its doors in October of last year.

General Manager, Mike  brings nearly 20 years of experience with him, working previously as Operations Manager for Omni Taverns in Edinburgh and before that General Manager and director/shareholder of the award-winning Adamson Restaurant and Bar in St Andrews. Mike’s business acumen and impetus on the guest experience will ensure visitors receive an unforgettable service under his watch.

Andrew brings more than a decade of experience working formerly as General Manager of the Whiski Rooms and before that Bar Manager of The Living Room with a number of national awards under his belt. The duo arrive at the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen just as the venue has embarked upon a renewed focus around its drink offering to create a ‘hotspot’ for shoppers, city workers and tourists alike.

Mike Lewis, General Manager, said: “In just nine months, Printing Press has earned itself a strong reputation in the city as ‘the place to be’ for drinks after work, lunch, dinner or even afternoon tea, so when the opportunity arose to join the team and bring my knowledge and experience to this fantastic venture rich in history and heritage, I jumped at the chance.”

Andrew Lennie, Assistant General Manager, added: “With a decade of experience under my belt I am delighted to join the team and help add to the success of the Printing Press as we take it forward as an iconic destination on George Street not only for fine dining, but for classic and contemporary drinks and the perfect surroundings for socialising.”

Under the leadership of Mike and Andrew, the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen is in full swing for the Festival, as well as planning for the launch of its brand new seasonal food menu, created by Head Chef, Colin Fleming, giving visitors a real taste sensation for autumn, making full use of seasonal, Scottish produce.
