image001This Friday former First Minister of Scotland Alex Salmond MP will deliver the address to the Saltire Society on the occasion of their 80th anniversary.

This special lecture will take place on Friday 23 September 2016 at The Royal Society of Edinburgh 22-26 George Street, EH2 2PQ.

The title will be ‘Inspiring Scotland ‘ 80 years of the Saltire Society’. The Saltire Society encourages anything which might improve the quality of life in Scotland and works to preserve tradition and culture.

Mr Salmond is expected to talk about the way that the society has made a contribution to Scotland over its long history. He is also to consider Scotland’s future and its changing place in the world.

The event is open to the public and tickets are free but must be booked by emailing saltire@saltiresociety.org.uk. Tickets can also be booked through the Saltire Society website,www.saltiresociety.org.uk.
