The Queen’s Hall appoint interim CEO

The Queen’s Hall has announced today that the board has appointed an interim Chief Executive, Karen Wood.

Nigel Griffiths, Chair of The Queen’s Hall Board, said: “We are pleased that Karen brings a wealth of experience to this interim role in what is an extremely important year for The Queen’s Hall.”

“We will be helping the International Festival celebrate its 70thAnniversary, hosting c18 sell-out morning concerts, as well as over 200 other rock, jazz and blues. trad, folk and classical events at the Hall in the course of the year.”

“Among the highlights, we are hosting the Final Concert of the Edinburgh Competition Festival which selects the best solo singers and instrumentalists from 1,000 entries, on Sunday 12th March.”

“In March we host 5 concerts organised by the City of Edinburgh’s school music team that showcases the Council’s schools’ top jazz and blues, classical, traditional, rock and folk young musicians.”
