Women across the world are taking to the streets today wearing pink hats with ‘pussy’ ears on them to make a stand for their rights, and the rights of others.

The main march is being held in Washington DC on the day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, viewed by many as a world leader who will endanger racial and gender equality.

We spoke to Leah Higgins the 17 year-old who organised the march and Rohan Beyts who famously has been involved with campaign group Tripping up Trump, and who became involved in a court case after being charged with urinating on the Trump International Golf Course in Aberdeenshire.

Several thousand protesters gathered on Regent Terrace outside the US Consulate today to make their views known with speeches and singing.
