The Sick Kids Friends Foundation will be hosting their annual Family Fun Day today 25 March 2017 at the Gyle Shopping Centre.

The event is held every year the Saturday before Mothers’ Day and will run from 10am-4pm with a variety of exciting activities on offer throughout the day.

Activities will include face painting, gift sales and a craft station, where children are invited to create their own Mothers’ Day presents and cards. All proceeds from the day will go towards the Sick Kids Friends Foundation.

The event will also host the perfect soundtrack as the Sick Kids Choir- an ensemble made up of doctors, parents, staff and volunteers- will be doing two lunch time performances all in support of the event.

The event will be busy, however, it will be run smoothly thanks to the help of 20 volunteers who will make the event possible. These volunteers include Caroline Kerr, who has been volunteering for the SKFF for four months, who will be there to support the event with her daughter Honor, aged 12, and the pair are looking forward to an enjoyable day as well as contributing to the work of the charity.
