Two Edinburgh hockey teams both have the same objective when they clash in a key Division One fixture tonight (7pm) at Peffermill.

Edinburgh University are one point ahead of city rivals Watsonians with the students fifth in the table with 15 points.

Watsonians are eighth on 14 and both sides have played 13 league games.

Graham Moodie, Edinburgh’s coach, does not want to see his men dragged into a relegation scrap.

Mike Leonard, his opposite number, is keen to build on last weekend’s welcome 3-0 home win over Glasgow side Hillhead and ease his drop fears.
