Hibs’ Head Coach Neil Lennon has called on the team to play with more consistency.

Falkirk visit Easter Road this afternoon knowing that they need a victory to have any chance of catching Hibs but Lennon will be without two of his most influential players, John McGinn and Ofir Marciano who are both on international duty.

A victory for Hibs would mean a 10 point gap with a game in hand and Lennon recognises the importance of the 90 minutes, particularly after dropping two points last weekend against Dumbarton.

Ross Laidlaw is likely to take over from Marciano whilst Lennon has both Fraser Fyvie and Dylan McGeouch available for midfield.

Paul Hanlon is also in contention after recovering from injury but he is unlikely to start given the form of Darren McGregor and Efe Ambrose.

Speaking to Hibs TV Lennon said: “I think we are in a good position and the players have earned that. Sometimes I set the bar a little bit high for them but I know that the players can reach the standards that I want from them and I want them to do that on a more consistent basis.

“However, we didn’t lose the game last week, we showed a lot of character to come back twice, and my only frustration was that we didn’t win the game.

“Falkirk got beat, so we gained a point on them and we play them on Saturday, so if we beat them it will be virtually impossible for them to catch us then we will need to see how Morton get on but it’s important that we concentrate on the game on Saturday.

“We are not panicking. The other teams have to win their games and play well to catch us and we just keep ticking off the games and if we don’t drop silly points then we will be comfortable winners in the end.

“It’s a concentration thing, not looking too far ahead. In the next two games if we get four or six points it will put us in a very strong position.

” We haven’t beaten Falkirk at Easter Road for  while so it would be nice to break that record.

“John (McGinn) and Ofir (Marciano) are a great loss for us but we were prepared for it. Fraser (Fyvie) is back from suspension and Paul hanlon has been training so he will come into contention as well. Dylan (McGeouch) has had a full week’s training after his 30 minutes last weekend so regardless of losing John and Ofir we have some good players coming back.”
