Police are continuing to investigate a serious assault that occurred in Edinburgh City Centre in the early hours of Tuesday 15 November 2016.

Detectives have carried out CCTV inquiries and believe that the male shown in the attached images may have significant information that can assist them with their inquiries. They would appeal to the male shown in the images to contact them and ask anyone who recognises him to come forward.

He is described as white, of slim build, approximately 5ft 10 inches tall, with brown hair that is shaved at sides. He was last seen on 15 November in Why Not nightclub, Rose Street and on Rose Street Lane. He was wearing skinny jeans and a hooded jacket, possibly Superdry branded.

Detective Sergeant Keith Dickson said: “This was a distressing incident for the person involved and we’ve been conducting a number of inquiries since then.

“We believe that the man pictured in the images may be able to help us with our investigation and we would urge him or anyone who recognises him to come forward as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers in complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
