Sam Masters and Erik Riss both collected 13 points but SGB Championship pace-setters Edinburgh Monarchs skidded to defeat last at Redcar Bears.
Theo Pijper, making his comeback for the club, could only earn a point and Ricky Wells, who has been outstanding this season, totalled five points.
Top man for Bears was former Glasgow Tigers and Berwick Bandits star Ben Barker with 13 points and Jonas B Andersen was next best on 11 points.
Bears moved into a 22-14 lead after six races and kept their cool to take three points
