One of the many delights of living in Edinburgh is the Festival and the accompanying Fringe in August. And one of the delights of the Fringe is the presence of one of the funniest comedians this country has produced – ladies and gentlemen, I give you Craig Hill.

I’ve been going to see the man from East Kilbride at the Fringe for the last four years. Every year I think ‘he was brilliant’. And every year I think ‘surely he can’t be as good as he was last year?’ Last year was arguably his funniest show yet so it was with this in mind that I headed to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Monday evening telling myself he couldn’t possibly be as funny again.

I was wrong.

Like a honed athlete, Hill seems to beat his personal best every year (although I’m sure if he reads this he’ll be putting his trademark risqué slant on that!) If it’s homely comedy you want this show isn’t for you. If you are easily offended, it’s best you stay away. But if you want a laugh-out-loud, laugh-a-minute hour and aren’t afraid to be the butt (ooh, err) of the great man’s legendary humour then this is perhaps the funniest show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It’s 60 minutes of adult side-splitting comedy that will want you begging for more.

If, like me, you’re a regular at Craig Hill’s shows you’ll know what to expect. And he just gets better and better with each passing year. There is a lot of swearing and sexual references aplenty but that’s what makes Craig Hill the brilliant comic he is.

If you only choose one show to see at this years’ Fringe then definitely make it this one. You’ll absolutely love it.

Just don’t sit in the front row. Or arrive late. You have been warned!
