Action from last season at Murrayfield when Dundee Stars visited

Callum Boyd has agreed to return to the Edinburgh Capitals after spending last season at Scottish rivals Braehead Clan.

Boyd’s gritty style of play and commitment made him popular in his first spell at Murrayfield.

The 23-year-old is determined to make himself a key member of Capitals roster this season.

Boyd said “I’m looking forward to being back at the Caps this season. I’ve got a good feeling about this year.

“I’ve been given a great opportunity to work under someone like our head coach Dmitri Khristich and I’m looking forward to having him help me develop my game further.

“I’m really pleased to be coming back. The fans were great with me when I played here before.

“Even when I was playing for another club last season I still felt I had a good bond with the Caps fans. I cant wait to get this season going and help the club have a great season.”

General Manager Scott Neil commented: “Callum is a popular player who brings energy and enthusiasm to the squad.

“I’m pleased to have him back at the club and know he’ll get a warm welcome back from the fans.”
