Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was set on fire in Fauldhouse around 6am on Sunday morning.

Irreparable damage was caused to the vehicle and officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Detective Constable Lee McCall of Livingston CID said: “Thankfully no persons were hurt as a result of the fire, however significant damage has been caused to personal property as a result and enquiries are ongoing.”

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or anybody acting suspicious at the time of the incident, and similarly for anyone with any further information relevant to this investigation to contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information should contact officers at Livingston CID on 101, quoting incident number 1056 of September 17, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
