Sixteen colleagues from Barratt Homes East Scotland white water rafted down the River Tay last month to fundraise for the company’s charity of the year, Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) raising £2,300.
CHAS provides hospice services for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions and offers palliative care and respite for the whole family via its two hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch.
Along with white water rafting, the business has organised a series of events which have so far included a charity golf day and raffle, with Barratt Homes contributing an additional £12,500 to the fundraising efforts.
Alison Condie, managing director Barratt Homes East Scotland commented: “CHAS does amazing work to improve the lives of babies, children and young people across Scotland who have a life-shortening condition.
“Three children die every week in Scotland because of such conditions and we hope that our fundraising efforts go some way to reaching and supporting the families across Scotland who need CHAS’ care.”

“ The funds and awareness raised by our amazing supporters will help us on our mission to reach every single baby, child and young person who needs us, and offer our support and care to them and their whole family.
“Barratt Homes’ ongoing fundraising taking place this year means so much to us and will allow us to provide our services to more young people and their families.”
