At today’s council meeting at the City Chambers there were 30 questions asked by councillors of the various conveners. We believe this is something of a record and is perhaps indicative of the number of the enthusiastic councillors who form the opposition groups.

Whatever the reason it is a good thing that the council is being scrutinised on a variety of matters.

 

 

It is open to any councillor to put a written question to either the Lord Provost or a specific convener or vice-convener for written answer. This is a way of highlighting issues and the question must be made in email or written form seven days ahead of the meeting.

It is open to any Convener to pass it on to another who may be able to give a more appropriate answer.
