There are 58 councillors on the City of Edinburgh Council. We have interviewed many of them as you can see below.

Most of the existing councillors were appointed in 2012 until 2017, but most recently there was a by-election in Leith Walk which  resulted in two new councillors being named, and there have been a couple of other by-elections in the interim.

The political make-up is that there is a Capital Coalition of Labour and SNP councillors. O a party basis the division is as follows:

 11 Conservative Group

2 Independent councillors

21 Labour Group

2 Liberal Democrat Group

5 Scottish Green Group

17 SNP Group
