Edinburgh finds itself bathed in sun again after some very wet days recently. Here’s the round up of what the latest news stories in Edinburgh are…

To help you decide which of the hundreds of shows you are going to see at The Fringe this year you will need to get on EdTwinge. This is a twitter service expressed every hour with real time reviews of shows. They give each show a ranking according to the crowd-sourced reviews. And of course you can also do a 140 character review of whatever you have seen yourself.

The Caledonian Mercury has a very interesting article explaining the work done at Edinburgh University’s Centre for Immunity Infection and Evolution to discover a new way to fight viruses or infection.

Sheila Gilmore MP wants your help.She is the Labour representative for Edinburgh East and wants to ask her constituents to tell her which of the leadership candidates she should vote for. Does this perhaps mean that she cannot decide for herself? Or is there simply no telling the candidates apart? Ms Gilmore had backed Diane Abbot but will not necessarily vote for her in the leadership race. The Scotsman reports.

Straiton Park and Ride has become home to gypsy travellers this week effectively evicting Lothian Buses following attacks on buses. The travellers are here to attend the Christian Festival of Spirtuality and Peace at Granton which is on from July 25th.  The Scotsman has a report.

The Scotsman also carries the obituary of one of the better known business people in the city, insurance broker Bill Reid. He was a very colourful character indeed – and known to The Reporter as someone who lived every day to the full.
