Craft Reactor is an Edinburgh-based not-for-profit craft collective formed in 2010. “We aim to promote a friendly, constructive and creative environment for the promotion of craft, and crafters, in Edinburgh.” They organise crafty Meet-ups on the last Tuesday of each month at Tea Tree Tea on Bread Street from 17.00.

As part of the National Galleries of Scotland talks programme Fiona Bradley, Director of the Fruitmarket Gallery and curator of Karla Black’s exhibition  for the 54th Venice Biennale will talk about the artist’s work in the context of Scotland + Venice.  Talk takes place between 12:45 and 1:30 pm at  the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre, Weston Link, National Gallery Scotland Complex, the Mound. Admission is free.

The Fruitmarket Gallery hosts a book art fair between 4pm and 9pm. Special guest will be artist and writer, John Byrne, who will talk about his new children’s book Donald and Benoit from 8pm. Admission is free.
