Now that the renovations to The Scottish National Portrait Gallery are nearing completion, apparently the National Gallery is next for a scrub up according to The Herald.

The BBC report that there is a new lead in the case of Betty Brown who disappeared from Nicolson Street last year, following the investigation on Crimewatch.

Around £50,000 of steel which has been stolen from an industrial estate in Livingston may be melted down for scrap according to The Scotsman. The metal was to be used for the new seating on the castle esplanade.
