The demolition of the three tower blocks in Sighthill is all part of the council’s plan to regenerate the area. That is the view of Housing Convenor, Paul Edie, who spoke to us just before the buildings were downed in a controlled explosion on Sunday morning.  We also spoke with Mrs Maureen Murdoch who was helping them on their way by pushing the plunger to detonate the explosives. Mrs Murdoch lived in Glenalmond Court for 43 years.
