Malcolm Chisholm is MSP for Edinburgh North and Leith. We are running a liveblog with him on Thursday 1 September 2011 when we will put some questions to him about his constituency work, and life as an MSP. You can ask him questions too by emailing them to us at theedinburghreporter@gmail.com or by sending them as comments when the liveblog opens.

  1. Good evening Malcolm. I live in a rural community, where the main local employment is in service industries…ie Tourism. Mostly seasonal, minimum wage jobs. Very little affordable housing in this area, and what there is, is provided mainly by the local housing association. Not the council. Many young people, who may wish to remain in the area of their birth cannot, due to the prohibitive costs. Do You feel that affordable housing, in all areas of Scotland, should be a priority with the administration at Holyrood?

  2. Good Evening Malcolm, a more general question…with the rise of the SNP in Scotland and what seems to be an almost moribund Labour Party….if You be attending conference, what suggestions will You be putting to Party Leaders regarding what can be done to revitalise the Labour Party, and the Trades Unions generally….
